What's in the Crofton News-Crier This Week: Amputees

Oh, don't worry, you read that headline right the first time:

Let me tell you the story, readers, of Thomas Butler and his drunk girlfriend, Melanie. Thomas is a 47 year old electrician. Melanie is 44 and probably does nothing because the article doesn't say she has a job. Let's just assume she's drunk for a living because on September 9th, the police came to the couple's Crofton home THREE TIMES to break up their fights. Well, the third time they came was because she ran him over with her SUV AND TOOK HIS LEG OFF.

Her lawyer had this to say: "She had no time...to stop herself from going into the steps. Drunk or sober she never intended to hurt Tom." Anyway, she's going to jail for two years so I'm sure Mr. Butler is relieved...for the sake of his other extremities?

Well, she's in the middle of a six month deployment so I guess that's better than three years or something. Bring the troops home! See you next week, kids.
